    Text (FE+errata): At the beginning of your upkeep, sacrifice ~this~ unless you pay {B}. ; Whenever a player puts a Forest onto the battlefield, ~this~ deals 3 damage to that player unless he or she puts a -1/-1 counter on a creature he or she controls. [Oracle 2009/07/08]
  • Only checks the type of the land as the land is played. If the land gets changed afterward (even by a continuous effect like Blood Moon), the Chant causes no additional effect. [Aahz 1994/12/25]
  • Extended tournaments (see Rule 913) have banned this card since 1999/10/01.
