Text (AN+errata): When ~this~ enters the battlefield, exile target creature and all Auras attached to it. Note the number and kind of counters that were on that creature. ; When ~this~ leaves the battlefield, return the exiled card to the battlefield under its owner's control tapped with the noted number and kind of counters on it. • The card returns to play as a new permanent. [D'Angelo 2007/09/08]
  • The permanent does have summoning sickness after it returns. [D'Angelo 2007/09/08]
  • If the card was only a creature due to an effect, it may enter play as a non-creature since it enters play as if newly played. [D'Angelo 2007/09/08]
  • If an Aura cannot be attached to the permanent after it re-enters play because it would be illegal to do so, the Aura remains removed from the game. [D'Angelo 2007/09/08]
  • If Oubliette is used on token creatures, it is permanently lost. [bethmo 1994/06/01]
The Oubliette stays in play. [Aahz 1994/08/01]
    See Rule 110.5.
  • If this card phases out, the link to the card it is holding out of play is broken, and that card does not re-enter play. When this card phases back in, this card will remain in play without any target and the other card simply remains out of play. [D'Angelo 2007/10/20]
  • Extended tournaments (see Rule 913) have always banned this card.
  • Note - The Arabian Nights card has two versions. One with a smaller, darker mana circle than normal. Both versions are C2 rarity.
