    Text (RA+errata): Whenever a player casts an instant or sorcery card, exile it. Then that player copies each instant or sorcery card exiled with ~this~. For each copy, the player may cast the copy without paying its mana cost. [Oracle 2009/07/08]
  • A player is considered to have played the instant or sorcery when they announce it and place it on the stack (after paying costs and making choices). So the spell is removed from the game directly from the stack before it can resolve. [D'Angelo 2005/11/01]
