Can prevent damage from being dealt but does not prevent special abilities like the Thicket Basilisk stoning. [Aahz 1994/12/02]
Extended tournaments (see Rule 913) have banned this card since 1999/10/01.
Note - This card was creature type "Elf" until Oracle 2007/10/01, when it became "Elf Scout".
